Congress location
San Giobbe Economics Campus
Fondamenta San Giobbe, Cannaregio 873
30121 Venice
The conference will take place at the San Giobbe Economics Campus, hosted by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Covering a surface of over 23,000 square meters, the San Giobbe Economics Campus provides a modern and fully-equipped congress venue in the historical island city of Venice, which is in convenient location to its attractions, transport facilities, and accommodations catering to all tastes. Attendees will also enjoy its 2,000-square-meter garden during the conference breaks.
Situated in the “sestiere” (district) of Cannaregio, the conference venue thus is in a walking distance from “Piazzale Roma” (representing the bus, tram and taxi terminal) and the “Venezia Santa Lucia” railway station (the so-called “Ferrovia”), which connects Venice to the mainland (notably the “Mestre” borough).
The San Giobbe Economics Campus is also well connected with the city center and the islands by waterbus (the so-called “Vaporetto”), with stops of the ACTV waterbus (“Crea” stop or “Tre Archi” stop) close to the campus. The stop of the Alilaguna boats, connecting Venice directly from Marco Polo international airport, are as well in close vicinity.

Accommodation
FUSION 2024 attendees may select an accommodation either directly on the island of Venice, or on the mainland borough opposite of the island of Venice (“Mestre”). Please be aware that the demand for hospitality in Venice is always very high and that several events are scheduled in the city for the same period. Thus, we strongly advise our attendees to book their accommodation as soon as possible.
On the island of Venice, hotels or other accommodations located in the sesteri (districts) of Cannaregio, Santa Croce and Dorsoduro will be closest to the conference venue. For bookings in Mestre, we would advise choosing an accommodation near the Venezia-Mestre railway station, from which the island of Venice can be conveniently reached by public transport via bus (operating 24 hrs/day) and train (last stop at the Venezia Santa Lucia railway station).
As described below, the San Giobbe Economic Campus can be accessed via a dedicated route starting from Platform 1 of the Venezia Santa Lucia railway station.
Please consult the Accommodation page for further suggestions and our special offer for student attendees.
